PDFWhirl (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates pdfwhirl.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data.
2. File Processing
When you upload files to PDFWhirl for processing:
- Files are uploaded to our secure servers over TLS 1.3 encrypted connections.
- Files are processed immediately and the results are stored temporarily.
- All uploaded and processed files are automatically and permanently deleted after 2 hours.
- We do not read, analyze, mine, or share the contents of your files.
- We do not use your files for training AI models or any other purpose beyond the requested processing.
3. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information to operate the service:
- Usage Data: Anonymous analytics data such as page views, tool usage frequency, and device type via Google Analytics.
- Technical Data: IP addresses (for rate limiting and abuse prevention only, not stored long-term), browser type, and operating system.
- Cookies: Essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or account credentials — because we don't require accounts.
4. Data Storage
Processed files are stored on Cloudflare R2 (encrypted at rest) and automatically deleted after 2 hours. Database records are retained for up to 24 hours for operational purposes and then permanently purged.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: CDN, DNS, and file storage (R2).
- Google Analytics: Anonymous site usage analytics.
- Google AdSense: Advertising (may set cookies).
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request deletion of any data associated with your usage. Since we collect minimal data and files are auto-deleted, there is typically nothing to delete. For any concerns, contact us at privacy@pdfwhirl.com.
